When you don't have your own lines, people draw them for you.

You can't quite say what you want, so you bend - to advice, to expectations, to whoever is most sure of themselves. And you keep ending up in places you didn't pick.

Wanting is hard to name. Refusing isn't. You already know what you won't stand for.

So you start with the edges. Five lines you won't cross. One page, about fifteen minutes.

What a red line is

Not a preference. Something you won't trade.

It costs you something

A line that's free to hold isn't a line. It should rule out money, status or approval you'd otherwise want.

You've crossed it before

The clearest lines come from the times you went past one and felt it afterwards.

It's specific

“I won't be dishonest” is a slogan. Name the actual situation you refuse.

It holds under pressure

Test each one against the person whose opinion you bend to most.

Five lines are enough. They're the first ground that's actually yours - and everything else gets built on them.

Who made this

I know this state because I lived in it.

I worked hard, achieved things, and kept proving myself - but still felt lost, disconnected, and strangely empty. What changed my life was learning to hear myself again and separate what was truly mine from what I was chasing for approval.

That is why I create these exercises. I believe even one small, honest practice can help you reconnect with yourself and see your next step more clearly.
